Acne scars cause embarrassment, can be very difficult to resolve, and are a constant and painful reminder of your skin condition. Some acne scars will go away on their own over time, and some are only slightly visible. Severe acne scarring, however, can mar an otherwise beautiful complexion and is very difficult to treat.

For the embarrassing pitted scaring and discolorations often left once active acne is under control, we offer the resurfacing laser. It provides the perfect balance of controlled cooling of the epidermis with precise heating of the upper dermis. If you are serious about treatment for acne scar correction, our qualified skin care specialists are standing by waiting to assist you.

As the leading acne treatment practice in Spring, TX SKIN 101 can offer the most effective acne scar reduction procedures for your needs. We will recommend the least invasive treatment that will be tailored to and most effective for you.

Types of Acne Scars

Some of the factors that determine which acne scar treatment you should use are the particular sizes and shapes of the scars you have. For example, if you have ice pick scars, you would not want to use the same type of medical acne scar treatment as you would for boxcar, hypertrophic or rolling scars. The only exception to this would be if you were to use a topical treatment for the scarring, such as a skin cream. A popular method of removing acne scars is through chemical peels and microdermabrasion. This particular type of treatment does not necessarily need to be administered by a doctor, as our skin care specialists are very experienced and qualified.
